Motions may be needed for temporary or urgent relief, subject to the Family Law Rules and court directions. Where issues remain unresolved, trial preparation can include witness planning, document organization, examination preparation and legal submissions.

Can you assist if my family case has already started?
Yes. We can assess taking over an existing proceeding or assisting with a defined stage, subject to conflicts, availability and an agreed retainer. Please provide the full court record and upcoming dates.
Do all family cases go to trial?
No. Some matters resolve through negotiation or at other stages of the process. Whether a trial is necessary depends on the unresolved issues and the parties’ positions.
Can I meet you virtually from outside Ontario?
Yes. Virtual consultations are available for clients seeking Ontario legal services. The court decides how a particular hearing will take place.
